About Scythia

Scythia is a next-generation consumer products platform built by acquiring private-label e-commerce brands who are mainly selling stable, non-seasonal products.

The objective of the business is to acquire businesses/ products which sell on the Amazon marketplace and other e-commerce platforms and aggregate these businesses into a consumer products platform.

Our focus is on businesses with stable, non-seasonal revenues, without fad-like demand drivers. Our acceleration programmes can unlock growth through a combination of product management, performance marketing or supply chain expertise and other business functions.

Scythia supports the acquired businesses’ further evolution by hiring best-in-class talent to focus on areas where the founders were unable to, frequently due to constraints in working capital, time, knowledge or process development.

Our goal is to create a virtuous cycle of scale, enabling greater central marketing and brand management expertise, which drives organic growth of acquired product ranges, which in turn enables Scythia to build an ever-stronger brand and marketing management engine at the core. Through all of this, we will focus relentlessly on professional execution, from sourcing and managing supply chains, to customer after-care, and everything else in between.

Position Summary:

As the Ecommerce Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our ecommerce brands on platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy. You will be responsible for nurturing and growing these key channels, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring our brands achieve their revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management:
    • Manage and grow our brands on Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in finance, marketing, production and warehousing.
    • Monitor and respond to customer reviews and feedback.
  2. Sales Optimization:
    • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
    • Implement strategies to increase product visibility, conversion rates, and overall sales in conjunction with Marketing.
    • Monitor and optimise pricing and promotions to maximise profitability.
  3. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adequate inventory levels.
    • Coordinate product listings, updates, and replenishments.
    • Manage inventory forecasting and replenishment to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  4. Marketing and Branding:
    • Work closely with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
    • Optimise product listings with high-quality images, content, and keywords.
    • Develop and execute strategies to enhance brand presence on each platform.
  5. Performance Reporting:
    • Generate regular reports on sales, conversion rates, and key performance metrics.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  6. Compliance and Policy Adherence:
    • Stay up-to-date with platform policies, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Ensure all product listings and activities comply with platform rules and regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Ideally a track record of successfully growing revenue from £1 million to £10 million for an ecommerce brand.
  • Proven experience in ecommerce account management, ideally on Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, algorithms, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
